a special day is coming...

As this year is quickly coming to a close I often look back and determine if the year has been good to me and mine or not. While I am not as seasoned as some I have still had many good years. Each filled with special occurrences, events and memorable times. Since being out on my own I have had a few stand out years. Looking back those include:

1998 - This was indeed a very good year for me. This is the year I graduated from High School in Sundance Wyoming a small town in North East Wyoming. Shortly after graduating I Was married to my wife Lindsay. It was rather sudden, and I'm sure a surprise for many. We were lucky enough to be able to have my father perform the ceremony. which was great and something that not a lot of people can say. This is easily my best year. I could not and would not have what I have in my life today if my wife was not there beside me.

2001 - While for many 2001 was an unfortunately a sad time. I honestly look back and see it as a great year. The year marked our third anniversary in May. Lindsay and I not having the opportunity before to be married in the temple, finally made our way. We went to Palmyra accompanied by Lindsay's Father Colin and my parents Allen and Debbie as well as my younger brother Andrew. Andrew and Colin waited for us outside and my parents escorted us through the temple. There we were sealed as Husband and Wife for all time and eternity.

This brings us to 2007.

This year still has a few weeks  and Christmas is still roughly a month away, but  has already brought us so much. Late 2006 after years of waiting we were finally blessed with a son Ayden. In April of 2007 Ayden was legally adopted. And then in May we traveled to Columbus and with Family and Friends present we were able to have Ayden sealed for all time to our family. It was a marvelous opportunity to be able to share that with our family and friends, who then joined us the next day at Church to witness his blessing.

Now we have the chance to do it once again. Our little Girl Kenna, is going to be legally adopted this coming up week. And then our loved ones will join us again at the temple, this time in Kentucky, for our sealing to to Kenna. And then her blessing the next day at our church.

This really has been a great year. Behind marrying and being sealed to my wife the events of this year will truly and forever be remembered as the best days of my life. I look forward with excitement at what is yet to take place.
