trim the tree

Tis the Season, Deck the Halls, and Trim the Tree. Now that December has finally come its time to get "ready" for Christmas. This time of year I really have to give it to my wife. Lindsay is one of the people who gets into the Christmas Spirit early if she could - or had her way - the tree would be up at the end of the day on Thanksgiving. I on the other hand have no problem waiting. I guess I'm one of those that feels the there should be a little lag time or delay between those two holidays. So in the past Lindsay has graciously waited while anxiously awaiting the time we can get a tree. This year though with the little ones and family soon coming to town we agreed that we would go green. So yesterday (saturday) with kiddies in tow we headed out and soon acquired our tree.

Since the kids are really interested in providing help we made the choice of waiting for them to go to bed @ 8. Once in bed the we began the process of moving furniture digging out christmas decorations. Upon completion the tree looked great and the "spirit" of the season was starting to be felt - all due to Linny. During our decorating I sorta got out of the spirit frequently. Hopefully I can get myself in line and enjoy the holiday with my family and friends. I encourage all of us to keep the purpose of the season in mind as we approach Christmas. So to you and your enjoy the season of what ever you might celebrate.

  1. I had a blast getting the tree. Decorating that was a different story. I love Christmas time and look forward to it every year.
